How authentication works
Per-user OAuth 2.0 with PKCE. Every action an AI client takes runs under that specific user’s existing Salesforce permissions, field-level security and sharing rules included, not a shared service account with broad access. This is the detail most teams get wrong when they wire this up themselves: it’s easy to over-scope a connection and end up with an AI agent that can see or edit more than the person using it actually can.
