Job Description: Social Media Manager
We are looking for a talented Social media manager to administer our social media accounts. You will be responsible for creating original text and video content, managing posts and responding to followers. You will manage our company image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals.
As a Social media manager, we expect you to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our company’s views creatively.
Ultimately, you should be able to handle our social media presence ensuring high levels of web traffic and customer engagement.
Responsibilities
- Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
- Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
- Set specific objectives and report on ROI
- Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
- Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
- Collaborate with other teams, like marketing, sales and customer service to ensure brand consistency

- Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews
- Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout)
- Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
- Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
- Work closely with brand marketing, ecommerce site merchandising, digital marketing and external partners in the planning and execution of paid media for use in social media channels
- Help create best practices/guidelines and unique approaches to assist with the expansion of the brand by increasing both followers and engagement across all social platforms
- Lead community management to drive engagement, interaction, and response for social conversations
- Establish guidelines and unique approaches to each social media platform
- Recommend and source creative assets for campaigns and posts
- Review overall and individual social platform performance using social media analytics
- Regularly monitor social listening and communicate insights and recommendations
- Support thought leadership by clearly communicating recommendations and insights across all levels of the organization
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
- Experience with translating brand positioning and messaging across key social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest etc.) and the ability to communicate a consistent brand voice within the relevant format of each channel
- Strong analytical and presentation skills
- Strong copywriting and visual skills
- SEO and HTML familiarity a plus
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Three or more year’s experience in managing social media in an agency or client side – preferably within fashion, apparel, retail, or consumer products.
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Expert level understanding of all social media platforms including but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, etc.
- Analytic summary and listening tools associated with all social platforms (where applicable)
- Google applications (mail, drive, sheets, slides, docs) or equivalent programs
- Google analytics
- Bilingual is helpful
